OVERVIEW
The School is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi which is an all-India Board. The School has classes from VI to XII. The academic year begins in March and the Final Examinations are conducted in February of the following year.
English is the medium of instruction throughout the School. Hindi holds a place of very high importance in the curriculum and every effort is made to ensure that each girl attains a high standard in the language. A third language is taught in the Middle School (Classes VI to VIII), for which an option between Sanskrit, Punjabi, Spanish and French is available
COURSES OF STUDY
For the Class X ICSE Examinations the school is able to offer a wide choice of discipline options. Apart from the compulsory subjects which include English, Hindi, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science/EVS students are required to select at least one skill-based subject for the Council Examinations. The choice includes Computer Applications, Yoga, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Art, Home Science, Environmental Science, French and Physical Education.
In preparation for the school-leaving final ISC (Indian School Certificate) Board examination held at the end of Class XII, at the 10+2 level, the School makes it possible for students to take subjects across the three streams: Humanities, Science, Commerce. A large selection of subjects is offered at this level. English is compulsory. Optional subjects may be selected from among the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, History, Geography, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Elective English, Hindi, Commerce, Accounts, Home Science, EVS, Art and Hindustani Music.
